In an effort to boost the tourism sector and empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Misamis Occidental, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, headed by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, organized a one-day forum in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The event, held at Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center on June 9, 2023, aimed to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and the exploration of strategies to promote sustainable tourism.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal, known for his dedication and hard work, spearheaded the initiative to bring together small business owners from the province. Working alongside the Provincial Tourism, Arts and Cultural Affairs Office (OPTACA), led by Ma'am Cristy O. Saplot, the workshop aimed to harness the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas of MSMEs to shape and enhance the tourism industry.
