Pinalitan ni Centino si Lt. Gen. Bartolome Bacarro. Dati nang nagsilbi si Centino bilang Chief of Staff ng AFP mula Nobyembre 12, 2021 hanggang Agosto 8, 2022. Bukod dito, nagsilbi rin siyang Commanding General ng Philippine Army noong May 14, 2021 hanggang December 10, 2021.
