In a significant stride towards educational empowerment, two hundred additional students from Ozamiz City have joined the ranks of the Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional Program, expanding the initiative's reach to a total of 1,000 young scholars. The auspicious Awarding and Distribution of Educational Assistance event took place on September 14th at the Ozamiz City Gym, marking a milestone in the city's commitment to providing quality education.

The Asenso Pamilya program, a flagship initiative led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal and the Asenso Misamis Occidental administration, initially enlisted 600 beneficiaries from Ozamiz City. Recognizing the pressing need for more students to access and benefit from this transformative program, Mayor Atty. Indy Oaminal and the Asenso Ozamiz team took the bold step of adding an extra 400 slots, raising the total to 1,000 students.

Even after finalizing the list for the first batch of grantees, Mayor Indy continued to receive impassioned pleas from parents and students who aspired to be part of this invaluable educational assistance program. Determined to answer this call for help, Mayor Indy sought the support of Cong. Ando Oaminal, who wholeheartedly agreed to fund an additional 200 slots. Both Cong. Ando and Mayor Indy share Governor Henry's visionary goal of "Asenso for all Misamisnons" by extending the gift of free education to at least one member of each family, embodying the motto "One family, one professional."

Addressing the new grantees during the event, Mayor Indy emphasized that while the Asenso administration can provide valuable support through the educational assistance program, the ultimate responsibility lies with the students to complete their education successfully, become professionals, and contribute to the betterment of their families and society at large.

Under the One Family, One Professional Program, each grantee will receive P5,000 in educational assistance per month, totaling P25,000 per semester. This initiative stands as a pioneering effort in the entire province, reflecting Governor Henry's dedication, along with the entire Asenso team, to realize the administration's vision of "Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon, ug Malipayon" – a Misamisnon community united in peace, progress, and happiness.

The Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional Program continues to inspire hope and facilitate access to education, marking a significant step forward in uplifting the prospects and aspirations of the youth in Ozamiz City.
